EQUIPMENT LIST
Basic Uniform
Forage , kepi, or appropriate broad brimmed style cap, with hat brass (4, and Bugle)
Four button sack coat. Federal Blue.
Sky blue wool trousers.
Issue pattern or civilian pattern wool or cotton shirt of period correct pattern.
Rag or dark earth tone colored cotton sock.
Basic Kit (Accoutrements)
Cartridge box with brass US plate.
Cap box
Leather belt with brass US plate.
Period accurate metal canteen
Black tarred haversack.
1861-1863 Springfield Rifled Musket or the 1857 Enfield musket may be used by members.
All weapons types may be used with the approval of the company commander.
No side arms will be carried.
Tentage
The 'A' Frame wedge is most appropriate for all members
'Dog Tents' may be used
'Campaign style' camping with no tents
Wall tents may only be used by individuals with families in camp.
Other Equipment
Gray wool blanket or quilt.
'Gum' blanket
poncho
Eyewear (if applicable)
Eating utensils
plate and cup
personal grooming items
Optional Equipment
Greatcoat, sky blue, infantry style
Knapsacks double bagged.
Period accurate drawers
Camp furniture. Storage boxes shall be of period design and common to what may be found in a fixed camp during the Civil War.
