GUAJOME ACADEMY
SEPTEMBER 14 - 15, 2002

This is a reenactment for those who are not going back east to Sharpsburg/Antietem. It is a fundraiser for the Guajome Academy (not the Adobe). The reenactment will be held at Brengle Terrace Park.

There will be a modern camping area over by the sutlers. Only above the ground fires will be allowed. There will be wood and straw provided. There will be no supper provided on Saturday night. You will be able to come to set up as early as noon on Friday.

Our swap meet will not be available at this reenactment.

 Ladies' Tea

Connie Green will be the hostess of the Ladies' Tea on Saturday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. Please bring extra refreshments along with your cup. We will have lots of people from the academy who have been invited. Check in at Town Hall for location.

 Fashion Show

The fashion show moderated by Andralee Hayes will be at 1:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Check in at Town Hall for location. Please come and participate. Remember to pick up and turn in your participation tickets.

 Dance

Tom Atkins will be at Antiem but another caller has agreed to do our dance on Saturday night.

YOUNG LADIES' LUNCHEON

We are starting a new activity for the Young Ladies, ages 15 - 25.

Athena Jaharis invites you to a Saturday luncheon at noon on Sept. 14, 2002.

Please bring sandwiches or fruit. Dessert and drink will be provided. Plates and utensils will also be provided. Check in at Town Hall for location.

CHILDREN'S CORNER

Ages 4 - 12

On Sat., while your mothers are at the Ladies' Tea, there will be games and refreshments at the children's corner.

Directions and Maps

- From the Oceanside area - Take Hwy. 78 East to the Vista Village (S13) off-ramp. Go left (north) approximately 2.5 miles and turn right onto Vale Terrace Drive. Go approximately one mile and turn left into the park.

-From Escondido side - Take Hwy. 78 West to the Escondido Avenue (S14) off-ramp and turn right onto Escondido Avenue. Go approximately two miles and turn right onto Vista Village Drive (S13). Go approximately one mile and turn right onto Vale Terrace Drive. Go approximately one mile and turn left into the park.
