1^st Louisiana Contract Regarding Alcohol and Drug Use

Any minor under the age of 21 caught consuming or possessing alcohol at an event, special meeting or any other 1^st Louisiana gathering. Will be subject to discipline as outlined below. Any minor or person regardless of age who has in their possession any illegal drugs and or is under the influence of illegal drugs will be held accountable as outlined below:

Minor (under the age of 21) consuming or possessing alcohol will be reprimanded in the following manner:

1^st Offense: Parent contact and that minors parent must come and pick up their child from the event, regardless of location or distance. If the parent is unable to pick up their child, that child must remove their Tiger uniform and dress in civilian clothing and remain in the Tiger camp without causing a disturbance to the unit, staff or to other units.

2^nd Offence: Minor will be suspended from the Tigers for the next 3 events and if  that minor is an NCO, he/she will forfeit their stripes immediately for the remaining of the season.

3^rd Offense: Upon  verification by the unit Commander, and  his NCO’s, the minor will be removed from the 1^st Louisiana Tigers and the American Civil War Society FTHA, and WBSHA will be notified as well. There will be NO appeal on this decision.

Any minor or person regardless of age, possessing, using or under the influence of any illegal drug will be removed from the unit immediately. Notification to the American Civil War Society, FTHA, WBSHA will be given. There will be NO appeal on this decision.

Any adult member of the unit or visitor to the unit who provides a minor with alcohol or purchases alcohol will be removed from the unit. Verification by the Unit Commander and his NCO’s will result in immediate removal of the minor or adult. ACWS< FHTA and WBSHA will be notified. There will be NO appeal on this decision.

Louisiana Brigade Rule #14

Drinking of alcoholic beverages are prohibited on any day when there will be weapons fired or displayed. Prior to drinking, all reenacting activities shall be finished for the day. The unit contains a number of members under the legal drinking age, NO ALCHOL SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THEM.

ACWS Rule 6.4

Individual Conduct

6.4.1        Each member must conduct himself or herself appropriately while at events. Members who engage in unacceptable conduct shall be disciplined as the Board directs. Unacceptable behavior or conduct includes but not limited to the following offences:

6.4.1.1  Drunk and disorderly

6.4.1.2  Use of illegal substances

6.4.1.3  Assault

6.4.1.4  Theft

6.4.1.5  Contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

FTHA Rule #14.7

Any individual found being under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be prohibited from participating in the events activities and brought before the Board of Directors for a Disciplinary Hearing.

14.8

Possession and use of illegal drugs are prohibited and will constitute grounds for immediate dismissal from activities, a Disciplinary Hearing, and notification of local law enforcement authorities.

WBSHA Rules mirror ACWS and FTHA rules. Notification to local law enforcement agencies will be made by the ACWS, FTHA and WBSHA. Penal Code #                  violation.
