SAVE A TIGER RULES AND BYLAWS

Dawn Beresovoy established the Save a Tiger Fund in 2004 and has taken great pride in its success and how it has run to date. So far, the items that have been purchased have been material for shirts, and four rifles. For many members of the 1st Louisiana Tigers, you were given a free red shirt or other shirt when you joined the unit or as needed. That material was obtained by Dawn Beresovoy, the Director of the Save a Tiger Fund, from working or recycling cans. That money was designated by her and from her to go to the Save a Tiger Fund for the specific purpose of providing those shirts free to members. Other members have also donated cash, work, or aluminum cans in order to help those in need with the Save a Tiger Fund. Steve and Marcus Brannan, Cecil and Robyn Edwards, Tom and Crystal Killian, Paul Killian, Dawn, James and Cody Beresovoy, Chris Benentindi, Vernon Fulmer, Linda Bacon, Jim Ennis and others.

The initial concepts behind the development of the Save a Tiger Fund was for any or all members of the 1st Louisiana Co. B Tiger Rifles, to offer work or menial labor duties in order to allow the applicant an opportunity to earn money for the purchase of needed items. Though donations are appreciated and accepted, offers for the applicants to earn money is and was the goal. If there are two or more applicants and only one is soliciting work and earning money, that person is far more entitled to assistance from the Save a Tiger Fund then the other or others who are not. The goal of the Save a Tiger Fund is and has always been to help people acquire their equipment but it must be understood, there are no free hand-outs and no one is entitled to receive anything for free. Applicants must actively participate in earning money or soliciting work in order to earn money to pay for the items they need.
